“We are in the world to serve humanity” (Edith Stein)
Today it is basic, fundamental and a priority to have a rigorous moral and ethical code when undertaking studies, certifications, assessments and surveys in the complex world of artistic heritage.
CAEM is a University Research Centre that gives absolute priority to these issues. It is CAEM’s best guarantee for the future. We are a public centre, therefore we operate with a high degree of preparation, loyalty and ethical and professional responsibility.
CAEM is at the service of the national and international scientific community; the artistic heritage of humanity; any owner or private collector of works of art, any public institution, organisation, museum or gallery that is in some way connected to the art world.
CMEA was also established with a clear commitment to university service. Therefore it focuses on the successful training of new generations of researchers and experts in the art world.
CAEM’s three ethical slogans:
- Contribute to a better understanding, assessment and development of artistic and cultural heritage of humanity. Be at the service of art and culture with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, honesty and loyalty.
- Solely and exclusively pursue the scientific truth of every work of art with absolute neutrality and independence.
- Analyse the works of art deeply and thoroughly; as well as holistically, scientifically, critically, reflectively, comparatively and interpretively.
